Qualitative review reveals lived experiences with gender equality and diversity policies among international mathematicians, highlighting ongoing challenges in higher education.
The goal of this article is to give an overview of our paper “A collection of first-hand experiences on gender EDI policies in HE mathematics” (to appear in SMEC 11 Proceedings, [1]) and share the results within the German mathematical community. This paper investigated the experience of mathematicians (largely intended) from all over the world regarding gender EDI (Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity) in their daily work or study life, providing a general impression of the current situation and a starting point for future research.
