An Absorption Technique for the Measurement of Absolute Rates of Atomic Transitions

This is the second of four papers in which a method of determining the curves of growth in absorption has been used along with vapor-pressure data to determine the absolute transition rates of resonance lines. Measurements of the curves of growth of Cu X 3247, 3274, Ag XX 3280, 3383, and the Au XX 2676, 2428 of the doublets have been made, and transition rates determined to within an estimated accuracy of per cent.
