Quadrupole distribution fits have been made of high-statistics M\"ossbauer spectra of some amorphous fluorides. The most important role of the value given to linewidth is considered. To analyze the resulting P(Δ), the ratio q=〈Δ²〉〈Δ〉² is calculated and compared to the values of Czjzek's model. The data are analyzed for amorphous KFeF₄ samples and for various glasses whose homogeneity was also ascertained.
