Summary Pollen morphology and ultrastructure in most genera of the Cupressaceae has been studied using light, scanning electron and transmission electron microscopy. This systematic survey shows an astonishing palynological uniformity and supports other studies in the conclusions that the Cupressaceae form a monophyletic group within the Cupressaceae/Taxodiaceae lineage.
