Anorexia Nervosa (AN) occurs in all age groups from adolescence to old age. We describe six cases which presented to an old age psychiatry service over a ten-year period. These illustrate how the effects of aging modify the clinical picture but do not alter the fundamental problem of self-inflicted low body weight. A reduction in agism and increased reporting of the condition in old age may well help in understanding the condition as a whole.
