A scaling theory of the low-field Hall effect in a two-component metal-nonmetal mixture near the percolation threshold of the metallic component is formulated and some of its physical consequences are examined. We predict that under certain conditions a peak in the Hall resistivity Rₑ versus metal volume fraction pM can be observed near the threshold.
