Pseudo-ternary semiconducting glasses (CuO)2;(V2O5)0.55−x;(TeO2)0.45 (x = 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.25) prepared by quenching of the melt are characterised by differential thermal analysis and infrared absorption. They are investigated by electron spin resonance, electrical conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, and photoacoustic spectroscopic measurements. The results relating to concentration and temperature dependences are discussed in terms of exchange interactions between paramagnetic ions and electron hopping.
