Turbidimetric and viscometric results obtained with the ternary systems methanol/cyclohexane/poly(tetrahydrofuran) and water/butyl cellosolve/poly(ethylene glycol) are reported. The turbidimetric results show that a small quantity of polymer changes extensively the coexistence curve of the solvent mixture, especially near the critical point of the two solvents. The viscometric results show that both polymers, poly(tetrahydrofuran) and poly(ethylene glycol) present abnormally high dimensions near the critical point of the two liquids.
