The effect of interelectronic scattering processes on the electrical and thermal conductivity of metals is considered for two simple cases: one unfilled parabolic band and two unfilled parabolic bands corresponding to one s-band and one inverted d-band. The first case corresponds to an alkali metal and the second to a transition metal. Electronhole scattering is also considered and is found to have effects of the same magnitude as electron-electron scattering on the thermal conductivity of the metals. (C.E.S.)
