New spectral-function sum rules for the pseudoscalar density in the (3,3*)(3*,3) model of broken SU(3)SU(3) are derived. It is shown how the sum rules provide useful constraints on the symmetry-breaking parameters and give new insight into the breaking chain of chiral symmetry.
