Two new compounds, 8‐chloro‐6‐hydroxy‐2‐(2‐phenylethyl)chromen‐4‐one (1) and 8‐chloro‐6‐hydroxy‐2‐[2‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)ethyl]chromen‐4‐one (2), were isolated from the Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.) Gilg. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods including 1D‐ and 2 D‐NMR analysis.
