Key result
Low interim PET/CT scores linked to ~34% higher absolute event-free survival in peripheral T-cell lymphoma.
Why the study?
Does the 5-point scale score on interim and end-of-treatment PET/CT predict treatment outcomes in patients with newly diagnosed peripheral T-cell lymphoma?
Population
Patients with newly diagnosed peripheral T-cell lymphoma receiving CHOP as first-line chemotherapy

Ham et al. (2016) conducted a cohort in Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) (n=89). Interim PET/CT 5-point scale score 1-2 vs. Interim PET/CT 5-point scale score 3-5 was evaluated on 3-year Event-free survival (EFS) (p=0.0014). An interim PET/CT 5-point scale score of 1-2 was associated with a significantly higher 3-year event-free survival compared to a score of 3-5 (62.7% vs 29.2%) in patients with newly diagnosed peripheral T-cell lymphoma.
