Summary280 male foetuses aged 4–10 lunar months were obtained from therapeutic abortions. Growth of the craniofacial skeleton was determined from measurement of sagittal radiographs. Univariate and multivariate analysis of the data showed considerable size changes during the foetal period but relatively little change in overall shape.
