The dithioethers CH3SCF2CH2SCH3, CH3SCH(CF3)CH2SCH3, CH3SCH(CF3)CH(CF3)SCH3, CH3SCH(CH3)CH2SCH3, CH3SCH(CH3)CH(CH3), C6F5SCH2‐CH2SC6F5, CF3SCH2CH2SCH3, and C6F5SCH2CH2SCH3 have been prepared by photochemical addition to olefines or by metathetical reactions. Physical and some chemical properties are described.
