The composition dependence of thermoelectric power (Seebeck coefficient) in (Fe2+FeCr)O (0 < x < 2), (FeZnFe)O, (FeCoFe)O (0 < x < 1) spinels and defect phases γ with a variable content of divalent iron ions and of vacant lattice sites obtained by oxidation (oxidation ratio δ with 0 < δ < 1/3) at low temperature is experimentally determined. Satisfactory agreement with theoretical thermopower calculated via combined small polaron and cation distribution models is achieved for x < 0.80 and δ < 0.20.
