Behaviour of bees visiting male-sterile field beans (Vicia faba)

A colony of honey-bees was put beside a 1/36 acre plot of male-sterile and male-fertile spring beans in 1965, but very little bean pollen was collected and no honey-bees were seen pollinating either male-fertile or male-sterile flowers.
