Does the Transcatheter Left Ventricular Restoration System induce sustained reverse remodeling in patients with heart failure?
The Transcatheter Left Ventricular Restoration System provides sustained structural reverse remodeling and modest improvements in ejection fraction and quality of life up to 2 years.
May support further evaluation of transcatheter ventricular restoration; leaves open efficacy confirmation in randomized trials.
•Initial structural remodeling, indexed by decreases in left ventricular end-diastolic volume, induced by the Transcatheter Left Ventricular Restoration System is followed by a period of biological reverse remodeling that plateaus after about 6 months and is maintained at least through 2 years.•These structural changes are associated with ∼5% (absolute) increases in left ventricular ejection fraction.•These changes occur in the backdrop of relatively few changes in heart failure medical therapy.•These changes are also associated with improvement of quality of life, though this observation needs to be considered in the context of the current unblinded study.

Кurlianskaya et al. (2025) conducted an observational in Heart failure. Transcatheter Left Ventricular Restoration System was evaluated on Structural remodeling (left ventricular end-diastolic volume) and left ventricular ejection fraction. The Transcatheter Left Ventricular Restoration System induced sustained reverse remodeling and an absolute 5% increase in left ventricular ejection fraction over 2 years.
