The problem of the microscopic effective pair interaction is discussed for two‐ and many‐macroion colloidal plasmas. For a crystallized state of colloids with charged particles the melting curve and the minimal charge for crystallization is considered analytically for a DLVO‐type of effective potential. The damping of longitudinal waves is investigated for infinite and finite sizes of colloidal crystals.
