Several Zeranin wire coils of different design are described. Two of them of the self-supporting type have been used for the determination of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance between about 160 and 370 K at five different pressures up to 1 GPa. It was found that the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance of Zeranin at high pressure is only slightly different from the normal pressure behaviour. This property favors Zeranin compared to other materials for the manufacture of resistance pressure gauges, which are to be used over a large temperature range.
