Fifteen cases of scrotum carcinoma treated in the National Onkological Institute, Budapest, between 1945 and 1956, are reported. Factors predisposing development of the disease are investigated. Increased hygiene and medical control are suggested as prophylaxis. Patients are arranged in four stages according to the TNM system. X-ray therapy is selected by the stage of the disease. In early Stages I and II contact irradiation is suggested upon the primary tumours and deep irradiation upon the inguinal regions. Suggestion in Stage III is complex therapy (radical operation and deep irradiation) and in Stage IV only palliative X-ray irradiation. Healings were only observed in the early Stages I and II.
