A study was made of the possibility of conversion of infrared radiation in an AgGaS 2 crystal for use in a nonlinear spectrograph. Scanning was performed by varying the pump frequency. The resolution achieved in the 10.6 μ range was 1.2 cm −1 . The nonlinear spectrograph was used in a study of the emission spectrum of a CO 2 laser.
