A case of congenital vaccinia is described, notable for the complications of scarring of an eyelid, choroiditis with destruction of the macula of the other eye, and hypoplastic bone changes, despite relatively mild skin involvement and good progress during childhood. It is suggested that further attention be paid to the possibility that relatively mild stigmata may result from prenatal vaccination, particularly after the first trimester.
