Characteristics of superradiant emitted light from a layer structure of p-type superconductor–insulator–n-type superconductor are theoretically discussed. Superradiant generation of twin-photon pulses or coherent cw light emission at the opposite ends of the resonator is expected, depending on the Q-value of the optically active insulating layer composing the resonator and the applied voltage, which determines the supply rate of Cooper-pairs.
