A series of new polyanions was synthesized via γ‐polymerization in aqueous micellar solution of ω‐unsaturated anionic surfactants derived from D‐glucose. These polyanions were evaluated for their activity against HIV‐1. All tested compounds proved active, although non‐toxic to the host cells (CEM‐4).
