Abstract

The aminal Me2NCH2NMe2 is doubly metalated by LitBu to give LiCH2N(Me)CH2N(Me)CH2Li, which reacts with chlorosilanes to afford the respective silylated species, including the six‐membered heterocycle Me2SiCH2N(Me)CH2N(Me)‐CH2 and the spiroheterocycle Si[CH2N(Me)CH2N(Me)CH2]2.
