An organic−inorganic hybrid material (TPPhA-V) was synthesized by non-hydrolytic condensation of a rigid dendron with a tetrahedral configuration, tetrakis-1,3,5,7-(4-phosphonatophenyl)adamantane, with vanadium(V) oxytriisopropoxide; the mesoporous material obtained showed high catalytic activity for aerobic oxidation of benzylic alcohols with some shape selectivity.
