The flow of a viscous liquid through elastic vessels is described by a linear telegraph equation following the assumptions Δ R << R and v << c , where R denotes the radius of the vessel, v the average velocity of the fluid, c the pulse velocity. For turbulent flow one should add one more assumption concerning the small changes in mass flowing per unit time. With this approach a solution was obtained by means of the Laplace Transform. Then a formula was derived for inner pressure as a function of flow. No good agreement with experimental data was obtained and the author suggests that a linearized equation, especially for large arteries, is insufficient.
