The inverse participation ratio (IPR) and the eigenvectors of many coupled chains with different coupling strengths have been calculated. It is found that, when the strength of coupling between chains is very small, this can reduce the IPR of eigenvectors dramatically. There is a great difference between the degree of localisation for one chain and that for many coupled chains.
