The reaction of Pd 2 (dba) 3 ·CHCl 3 with dimethyl 4,9-dioxatrideca-2,7,12-triyne-1,13-dioate gave the first palladium(0) triyne complex in good yield. The triyne complex was confirmed to be an efficient catalyst precursor for the cyclization of the triyne ligand.
