A luminescence band at 380 nm (3.26 eV) resulting from the recombination of electrons with [X−2] centers is identified by means of polarization studies. In addition, the thermoluminescence from electron irradiated KMgF3 both pure and doped with Ni2+, Co2+, Mn2+, and Li+ is reported.
