M\"ossbauer-effect measurements have been performed on the alloy system EuₓLa_1-x showing that for a sample with $x=1.2%$ there is a transition to a magnetically ordered state at 660 ±{} 25 mK. The same sample shows a superconducting transition temperature of Tₛ=2.15(10) K.
