The first EPR spectra of hydrogen and deuterium atoms trapped in superfluid helium and the results of a study of the transformation of spectra with temperature maintained at T = 1.8 K and heating of samples up to T = 4.2 K are presented. The results of the studies of systems containing both hydrogen and deuterium indicate that exchange reactions occur between atoms and molecules of hydrogen isotopes directly in the solid matrix at temperatures of 1.8–4.2 K.
