Hollow fibres with a symmetrical pore structure as used in artifical kidneys are tested for other purposes. The modules are shown to be suitable for the processing of enzymes such as thermitase, penicillin acylase, uratoxidase, and phosphatase by means of ultrafiltration and diafiltration. These hollow fibre modules are compared with other modules used in laboratory or in small technical devices. Similar values and material transfer coefficients are calculated.
