Multimodal imaging successfully identifies a large aortic valve papillary fibroelastoma for complete resection.
Case Report (n=1)
Cardiac papillary fibroelastomas are rare benign tumors often found incidentally on imaging that can have a popcorn-like appearance on the aortic valve.

Kim et al. (2011) conducted a case report in Papillary fibroelastoma of the aortic valve (n=1). Multimodal imaging and surgical resection was evaluated on Diagnosis and successful resection of the tumor. Multimodal imaging including echocardiography, CT, and MRI successfully identified a large, popcorn-like papillary fibroelastoma of the aortic valve, which was subsequently completely resected.
