Stentgraft implantation can be an effective treatment for malignant thrombus in a non-aneurysmal, non-atherosclerotic descending thoracic aorta complicated by peripheral embolization.
Should not yet change practice for malignant aortic thrombus; leaves open the role of endovascular stenting pending prospective data.

Jonák et al. (2017) conducted a case report in Malignant thrombus in the descending thoracic aorta (NAADTA) (n=1). Endovascular stent graft implantation was evaluated on Exclusion of thrombus and prevention of recurrent embolization.
