Given the importance of amides as valuable biological molecules and pharmaceutics, there is a surge of synthetic methods to access amides adopting the solvent‐free synthetic routes. Herein, we report an alternative approach for the mechanochemical synthesis of N‐alkyl/aryl amides via brass balls catalyzed cross‐coupling between isocyanides and anilines or arylboronic acids mediated by pyridinium tetrafluoroborate (Pyry‐BF 4 ) or TEMPO. Adopting a wide range of substrate scope, the present protocol offers a straightforward synthetic access to N‐alkyl/aryl amides in good to excellent yields in short reaction times.
