AHARVESTER has been constructed and tested that allows for continuous movement along a tree row while shake-removing and collecting the crop. Harvesting rates of over 200 trees/hr on trees spaced 2.74 m in the row have been obtained. For trees spaces 6.1 m in the row, harvest-ing rates near 200 trees/hr were possi-ble. Both fruit removal and recovery were better than 90 percent.
