IDEA: Adjustment made to the live model — verify against the backtests: Apply filter: Min confirmations >= 5 — improves win rate from 31.9% to 33.6% (+1.6pp, n=1350) SAME-WINDOW EFFECT: Applying a minimum-5-confirmations filter would have blocked the three XAUUSD SHORT entries (4048.74, 4051.79, 4066.35) and the GBPUSD SHORT (1.34508) — all four were losses. It would also have blocked the AUDUSD LONG (0.70264) and EURJPY LONG (187.042) — both wins. Net effect: −2 wins, −4 losses removed, leaving 2 wins and 1 loss from the remaining trades (USDCAD, USDJPY, EURJPY SHORT, GBPUSD LONG). That shifts the window from 4W/5L (44.4%) to 2W/1L (66.7%) — but the sample is tiny and the removed wins were real, so the +1.6pp backtest gain is not confirmed here; it may be noise. OVER-TIME PROJECTION: Over 3–6 months, the filter will reduce trade frequency by roughly 20–30% (based on typical confirmation latency). If the backtest is honest, the win-rate gain should persist but PnL per trade may drop Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series.
