The Stark effect of the 41,4←32,1 and 42,3←33,0 microwave transitions in the ν2 excited vibrational state of H2O has been measured. The analysis is made with the rotational correction terms brought by the centrifugal distortion in the Stark effect Hamiltonian. The dipole moment free from the effect of the molecular rotation is determined to be 1.827±0.005 D.
