All articles of this category The hitherto unknown lacton N,N -dialkylhydrazones 2 and N -(dialkyamino)-lactams 3 have been synthesized in good yields by a simple two-step procedure involving silver tetrafluoroborate- or sodium hydride- promoted cyclization of ω-chloroalkanohydrazides 1 , which, in turn, were easily prepared from ω-chloroalkanoyl chlorides and hydrazines.
