Computational modeling study demonstrates enhanced user experience evaluation using eye-tracking and deep learning, indicating reliable data-driven visual interface optimization.
In the digital design domain, optimizing user experience through effective visual interface design is paramount. Traditional methods for this evaluation often rely on heuristic assessments and user feedback, which, while informative, lack the precision and granularity necessary for nuanced understanding in diverse user scenarios. This paper introduces an innovative methodological framework designed to enhance this area of study by integrating eye-tracking data with advanced deep learning techniques. The framework is known as the Adaptive Visual Interaction Forecaster and effectively incorporates three principal modules: the Constraint-driven Attention Mapper, the Agent-based Temporal Event Planner, and the Uncertainty-guided Output Filter. These modules are tasked with addressing prominent issues encountered in user experience evaluation. They aim to accurately capture spatial attention dynamics, intricately model temporal dependencies, and effectively manage the inherent uncertainties found in predictive analytics. The methodology further introduces a structure-aware temporal alignment strategy, coupled with an uncertainty-aware refinement process, both of which contribute significantly to optimizing the analytical workflow while ensuring robust and interpretable predictions. By leveraging comprehensive mathematical formalizations, the framework aptly models user interactions, provides quantifiable measures of user attention, and predicts user experience metrics with an enhanced level of precision and reliability. This allows for actionable insights into improving visual interface design based on empirical data. The integration of uncertainty quantification further bolsters the interpretability and reliability of the predictions, making this methodology particularly suitable for complex and dynamic scenarios of user interaction. Therefore, the proposed approach represents a substantial advancement in the realm of visual interface design, offering a detailed understanding of how user experience can be optimized through data-driven analysis.
