The preparation, characterization, and an X-ray crystal structure for the first examples of covalently bridged phospholyl complexes of titanium are reported. Preliminary ethylene polymerization data for the ansa phospholyl−amido titanium complexes show catalyst activities comparable to the well-known bridged cyclopentadienyl−amido titanium constrained geometry catalysts.
