The Hall coefficient R H, has been determined as a function of temperature for liquid gallium-tellurium alloys. The results are discussed with respect to the semiconducting behaviour of Ga2Te3 in the liquid state, the dependence of the Hall coefficient on the density of states in the strong-scattering region, and the dependence of the semiconductor-metal transition on the concentration and temperature.
