We report for the first time temperature and orientation effects on the magnetic properties of sputtered Ti, Zn doped barium ferrite (BaFe/sub 12/O/sub 19/, BaM) thin films in the temperature range of 173-523 K. Coercivity, H/sub c/, and saturation magnetization, M/sub s/, of perpendicularly and randomly oriented films showed different dependence on temperature. The temperature dependence of the thin film crystalline anisotropy energy was measured to determine its anisotropy field. A very small BaM thin film dH/sub c//dT was measured in the vicinity of room temperature, which is substantially smaller than those of undoped or Ti and Co doped powder.>
