Light and neutron scattering data and osmotic pressure measurement are analyzed in polystyrene solutions up to concentration of 0.1 g cm−3. The results show two different ranges of concentration. These two ranges are consistent with the dilute and semidilute ranges proposed by S. F. Edwards. The transition occurs at the concentration for which the average distance between chain is of order of magnitude of the radius of gyration.
