The sterically crowded gallium amidinate complexes { t BuC(NR‘) 2 }GaX 2 (X = Cl, Me, Et, CH 2 Ph; R‘ = i Pr, Cy, t Bu) have been synthesized in good yield. X-ray crystallographic analyses show that the steric interactions between the t Bu and R‘ groups influence the R‘−N−Ga angle and the steric environment at gallium.
