A number of tiny temnospondyl skulls have been collected from the Early Triassic Arcadia Formation of Queensland. Some have been identified as juveniles of known families, adults of which are present in the same formation, but two skulls exhibit a mosaic of characters in a combination previously unknown among temnospondyls. These skulls are described as Lapillopsis nana gen. et sp. nov. which we place with reservation in the dissorophoid family Micropholidae.
