The 2025 American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines include significant changes in cardiac arrest management. This review aims to evaluate the major modifications introduced by the new guidelines from an evidence-based medicine perspective. The expansion of indications for mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of capnography as a prognostic marker, the integration of artificial intelligence-assisted decision systems, and personalized post-resuscitation care protocols are among the prominent innovations. In light of randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses, these changes have the potential to achieve a significant reduction in in-hospital cardiac arrest mortality.
