Variational iteration transform method for fractional differential equations

The aim of the work is to extend the application of the modified Variational Iteration Method suggested by Afshan Kanwa and Syed Tauseef Mohyud-Din to obtaining solutions of linear and nonlinear linear time-fractional equations of order α (1 < α ≤ 2). The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. Some illustrative examples are given, revealing the effectiveness and convenience of the method.
