Case Report (n=1)
Case presentation of a 38-year-old man with exercise-induced palpitations despite a prior childhood ablation for atrial tachycardia.
Alerts to possible late recurrence after pediatric ablation; leaves open need for extended follow-up data.
A 38-year-old man presents with exercise-induced palpitations. Since childhood, he has never enjoyed exercising because of palpitations that limited his ability to keep up with other children. At the age of 16, his symptoms were thought to be related to atrial tachycardia that was ablated at the base of the left atrial appendage. Although his symptoms improved after ablation, they never completely abated and he has limited his exercise. He has no family history of heart disease or sudden cardiac death.
